Perspective
I close my eyes and see my life through someone else’s
eyes
It looks so perfect and it feels so right but those scenes
are lies
To you I might look so good but what about all the things
I do?
Make up and cover up and standing only in certain angels
what does it mean to you?
I sit along a sidewalk and watch along the road for
something to come
Eyes so bright they light the sky a smile so wide I could
die hotter than the sun
That button up shirt, that puffed up chest, who would of
guessed
All those broken hearts and all those lies… is this
another test
I used to love with all my heart but now I keep myself far
The lonely life I hate but it I prefer over a scar
I’m not a toy for you to play with then tear
I’ve been through the worst it’s been a curse but I’m not
scared
Since I was a kid all my dreams stayed behind shut doors
Trying to get them to budge makes me sore
Stories that were told expectations created for me
Love is nothing but a British cup of tea
Doesn’t taste good but is a habit to keep
It tires you out and forever you stay in blind sleep
