Dancing to Fame
I had always been average at all I did. Wasn’t
the champ for basketball, never the one who scored the goals in soccer, never
hit perfect home runs, didn’t even get all A’s in school. People would make fun
of me; call me the “useless girl”. I would cry myself to sleep every night
wishing I could be the best at something. Little did I know that I already was.
Everyday I’d stay locked in my room dancing to my music. It would release my
stress and cure my pain. Music was my life and dancing my soul. One day however
I was in a classroom dancing after class. I didn’t know there were still people
around and didn’t really care. I was already lost in my beautiful world of
music when someone walked in and saw me dancing. Soon the whole world knew that
I liked to dance. I went from one performance to another until it became a
career not just a hobby. That’s when I realized that you can’t be good at
something your heart and soul don’t love. You have to really love something to
be good at it. And that’s the story of how I danced my way to fame. What does
your soul long for?
