The last time I remember seeing daylight
was when the sun was upside down
and my smile was turned to a frown
and then the clouds came to play
and they hugged me into the rain
and a smile crossed my frame
because water is pure
it's my personal cure
no one realizes
that when the sun finally seizes
the flowers start to grow
and that life is formed
our wonderful fireflies
that light the night sky
and the night dark blue
gives us beautiful due
for me we are lucky
that we get these wonderful gifts of nature
